How big is the baby this week: Emersyn is the size of a squash! Appropriate, as she is squashing my internal organs hehe.
Due Date: May 8, 2012
Weight Gain: Up 1 lb this week. Running total: 18lbs!
Symptoms: Th belly, and baby inside, feel huge. I have lovely blue veins all over my belly, so she must have great blood supply. Heartburn, weird feelings in my arms, and a few little mini panic attacks are happening. The rash has not gone away and I'll be asking my Dr about it. Oh and backaches and sore hips are constant. Yup, this stage of pregnancy is kinda rough. I'm hoping she drops soon so I can get some relief.
Cravings: Milk, guacamole, and chicken salad.
Aversions: Nadda.
Sleep: I have now resorted to sleeping sitting up in bed to try to avoid the insane back pain I was waking up with every morning. It's harder to get to sleep at night like this, and my neck ends up a little sore, but it is better than the back pain.
I am loving: Her nursery! I spent Sunday organizing and putting things away and it's slowly but surely coming together. It's my favorite room in the house and I can't wait to add the final addition- Emersyn!
I miss: I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I miss not being pregnant. I want to sleep however I want, I want to eat and drink whatever I want, and I want to feel like my body is mine again- those little mini panic attacks usually involve me freaking out a tad that there's a little alien in my belly I have no control over- yup, I'm a crazy.
I am looking forward to: Tomorrow- I have a Dr appointment and want to see how much she's grown, and then we have our first breastfeeding class that night. Blake is SUPER excited haha.
I'm spazzing about: That darn bookcase. I check for availability every day and I've even emailed them to ask when it would be back in stock (they don't know). They have it in stock in espresso and cherry, but I want the white one, darnit.
Best thing about this week: Our family baby shower! It was absolutely incredible- my SIL, Jeni, did an amazing job and we got so many wonderful gifts!
Milestones: The linea nigra has made a very faint appearance, and I THINK I've gotten a few more stretch marks. It's kind of hard to tell since I can't see my whole belly, and the blue veins are so prominent.
Movement: Seems like she has actually slowed down just a tad. She must be getting cramped in there, but she still gives me more than enough (painful) punches through the day that I know she's doing ok.
It's a...: Girl!!! Emersyn Grace:)
Ha ha, the baby squash is squashing you. Ha. ;)
ReplyDeleteAnd oh the breastfeeding class. Awkward! But after all was said and done, Russell was really glad he came with me, awkward giggles and all. ;) He was so helpful during those first bleary weeks when I had NO idea what I was doing, Emery had no idea what SHE was doing, and he could keep a more level head and remember tips and techniques when I was ready to throw in the towel. Go, Blake. ;)
How I wish I only gained 18lbs so far *LOL*
