I'm not sure if it's just me being hormonal, or being worried because it's such a permanent decision, or if it's really not the right choice, but lately, I've been having second thoughts about the name we chose for our baby girl- Lydia.
We've been thinking of girl names for such a long time, and I haven't really had the "ah ha, this is perfect" moment with any of them- at least not with any of them that Husband agreed with as well. I talked about it with him over the weekend, and we went over my hesitations. I wouldn't say we're back to the drawing board, Lydia is definitely still in my top 3 names, but I don't think we're quite ready to embroider anything.
Am I totally crazy, or did any of you mamas out there have second thoughts about names? Did you end up using a different name, or did your worries go away?
I'm so with you! (I just posted about this, haha...) we had a name picked out before we even found out boy/girl and just yesterday I found a new name that I LOVE and now I don't know what to do!! Thankfully we hadn't ordered anything personalized yet, but I think I might give it a few weeks and try calling her by both names and seeing which one sounds more fitting for us... good luck!!
ReplyDeleteOMG...I had a girl's name picked out, husband agreed and we started to share with everyone. *HUGE MISTAKE* People's nasty comments ruined it for me and we've chosen a different name we are now in love with but can't stop worrying if its "the" name. Hopefully the worries go away LOL
ReplyDeleteI think what you should do is try to explore why you aren't feeling 100% about the name- is it other people's comments? inner gut feeling? If its the latter maybe its not the right name, but I know a ton of moms who still aren't sure how much they love their kids names and the kids are 1 and 2yrs old. Its totally normal.
